This thing just baffles me. Is it lengthened behind the door? Who would pour that much effort into it and then not give it read windows?
I’m working on a post about this place. What do you think?

I’m confused. It looks lengthened behind the door ( quarter window opening looks too big, good luck filling that), but the rocker looks un touched.
Also - WHY GO TO THE TROUBLE TO ADD 6 INCHES?

Unless that new metal is attached to the door, looks like the door posts were completely destroyed and somebody was attempting to rebuild that in a sketch way. The original Mustang sheet metal actually has a pretty big depth of metal behind the door, that’s a match.

There’s a lot more body behind the door than most people realize.
I thought at first maybe this was something psychotic like rebuilding the door posts to fit Falcon doors, but no - I think just rebuilding the door posts. Badly.

That makes sense — the rocker panel is the giveaway.
I was looking at the quarter window opening and it looked oversized, probably just a function of the door window being partially open and not dropping straight down.
